Garden Salad with Tomato Basil Vinaigrette
Let your taste buds be awed by the magic contained within this special salad dressing. Add bacon on it and it becomes a salad of winners.
|150||grams||iceberg lettuce, cut into serving pieces|
|1/2||cup||PUREFOODS CLASSIC HONEYCURED BACON, cooked and crumbled|
|3/4||cup||grated MAGNOLIA CHEDDAR CHEESE|
|1/4||cup||blanched, peeled, seeded and crushed red tomatoes|
|1/4||cup||basil leaves (packed)|
|1||tbsp||red wine vinegar|
|1/3||cup||extra virgin olive oil|
|1/8||tsp||iodized fine salt|
- Blend tomatoes, basil, vinegar, mustard and garlic in a food processor*. While mixing, pour olive oil in a thin stream. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Mix well.
- Transfer dressing to a bowl and toss with lettuce. Arrange on a salad bowl or plate then top with croutons, bacon bits and cheese.
