Ingredients

1 pack PUREFOODS HONEYCURED THICK CUT BACON
2 tbsp MAGNOLIA NUTRI-OIL
APPLE SAUCE:
14 cup MAGNOLIA GOLD BUTTER
3 tbsp red onions, chopped
2 pcs green apple peeled, cored and dice
14 cup brown sugar
2 tsp five spice (ngohiong)
2 tsp MAGNOLIA ALL PURPOSE FLOUR
2 tbsp apple juice
salt and pepper to taste
RICE PILAF:
2 tbsp MAGNOLIA NUTRI-OIL
14 cup onions, chopped
2 tbsp MAGNOLIA GOLD BUTTER
2 cup long grain rice
3 cup chicken stock
2 tbsp parsley, chopped

Procedure

To prepare apple sauce: Place butter in the skillet. Sauté onions until light brown. Add diced apples, sugar and five spice. Add flour. Cook for 3 minutes. Add the apple juice. Season with salt and pepper. Cook until liquid is reduced by half. Finish off with the remaining butter. 

To make rice pilaf: In the rice cooker pot, heat oil and sauté onions until soft. Add in butter. Add rice. Sauté rice for 1-2 minutes until all grains are coated with oil and butter. Add the apple juice. Let rice cook completely. Mix in butter and chopped parsley once cooked. 

1. Panfry bacon until nicely browned. 

2. Drain oil and transfer to plate 

3. Serve bacon with rice pilaf on the side and some apple sauce over the bacon or on the side.
